With the last noodle eaten and the last song played, the first ever fundraiser for the Michael S Denman "Making a Difference" EMT Scholarship came to a close and can be considered nothing short of a total success. The biggest victory of the day came in the form of the amount raised...
OVER $3500.00 for the Denman Foundation!
While it was great to be able to raise such a substantial amount of money, the greatest part of the day was to be able to gather with so many amazing people for this great cause. Firehouse Entertainment did a great job keeping the party moving with great music and a few lucky people walked away with some great prizes in the raffle draw.
A huge debt is owed to so many volunteers and supporters for their hard work and sacrifice. Becky Allen once again did not fail to deliver a mouth watering dinner that kept the guests coming back for seconds (and thirds, and a few fourths). The Pham family kindly donated over 200 egg rolls, although you wouldn't have known that if you came late because they were flying off the buffet table. The entire event would have not been the same had it not been for the gracious hospitality of the great guys and gals at the Woodland Fire Department who opened their doors to us and this great cause.
