First Spaghetti Feed a Huge Success!

With the last noodle eaten and the last song played, the first ever fundraiser for the Michael S Denman "Making a Difference" EMT Scholarship came to a close and can be considered nothing short of a total success.  The biggest victory of the day came in the form of the amount raised...OVER $3500.00 for the Denman Foundation!

While it was great to be able to raise such a substantial amount of money, the greatest part of the day was to be able to gather with so many amazing people for this great cause.  Firehouse Entertainment did a great job keeping the party moving with great music and a few lucky people walked away with some great prizes in the raffle draw.

A huge debt is owed to so many volunteers and supporters for their hard work and sacrifice.  Becky Allen once again did not fail to deliver a mouth watering dinner that kept the guests coming back for seconds (and thirds, and a few fourths).  The Pham family kindly donated over 200 egg rolls, although you wouldn't have known that if you came late because they were flying off the buffet table.  The entire event would have not been the same had it not been for the gracious hospitality of the great guys and gals at the Woodland Fire Department who opened their doors to us and this great cause.

Stay tuned as we announce upcoming details on the scholarship applicants as we work closely with NCTI to help someone's dream of making a difference become a reality.

"Making a Difference" EMT Scholarship

The Denman Foundation is proud to announce the Michael S Denman "Making a Difference" EMT scholarship. The scholarship is being offered to graduating high school seniors who have shown a desire and aptitude towards entering a fulfilling career in EMS as an Emergency Medical Technician.

We are proud to have partnered with NCTI, the nations premiere Emergency Medical Services school to offer a seat in their 8 week EMT program. The recipient of the scholarship will have all expenses for the program covered, including tuition, textbooks and uniforms.

Due to the limited availability of the scholarship, all applicants must submit the written application to be considered. From there, qualifying applicants will be asked to participate in multiple oral panel interviews. Application submission deadline is January 30, 2012. About the Foundation

The Denman Foundation has been established to uphold the beliefs and aspirations of Michael S Denman, a dedicated Paramedic who devoted his life to creating a better community for everyone. Mike was passionate about a great number of things, from creating charitable events in the community to helping the ill and injured to music and the arts.

With those points in mind, The Denman Foundation has been founded to help under privileged and at risk youth who have shown proper aptitude to excel in the areas of EMS, music and sports.
We believe in strong involvement in the community and in investing in the future.

As much as any organization may desire to help others, it is ultimately the responsibility of the individual to excel and to take advantage of those opportunities. We thank our generous supporters for their contributions as well as those involved in our programs for helping to create programs Mike would have been proud of.
